Create fixtures, tooling and process plans that make demanding components manufacturable on our shop floor.
You will turn customer drawings and models into practical manufacturing solutions — designing work-holding fixtures and tooling, preparing process routings, and supporting quoting with cycle-time and feasibility inputs. You will collaborate closely with machinists, programmers and quality to improve throughput and reduce setup time, and help bring new components from first-article through to series production.
Inspect precision-machined parts on CMM and shop-floor instruments and keep our AS9100D records audit-ready.
As a CMM inspector you will programme and run coordinate measuring machines, carry out first-article and in-process inspection, and sign off finished components against drawings and GD&T callouts. You will maintain inspection reports, calibration records and non-conformance documentation to AS9100D / ISO 9001 standards, and work with production to resolve dimensional issues at source.
Programme and run 5-axis machining centres producing critical aerospace and industrial components to tight tolerances.
You will set up, programme and operate 5-axis VMC and horizontal machining centres, turning complex castings and billets into flight-critical and industrial components. Working from drawings and 3D models, you will write and prove out CNC programmes (Siemens / Fanuc), select tooling and fixturing, and hold tolerances down to a few microns. You will work alongside quality and planning to keep first-pass yield high and scrap low on high-value parts.
